Industrial Measurements System (IMS)

The Industrial Measurements System (IMS) scheme is covering certain products which are regulated under the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) and the Emirates Quality Mark (EQM).

The IMS determines the conditions and requirements to be implemented by factories in order to ensure accuracy of measurement devices used in all stages of production, with the goal to reduce errors and waste resulting from the inaccurate operation of those devices.

The certificate is valid for one year

The following products are regulated under this scheme:

• Drinking water
• LPG cylinders
• Paints and varnishes
• Fresh chilled chicken
• Non-alcoholic energy drinks
• Detergents
• Juices
• Perfumes
• Vegetable oils
• Fizzy drinks

For products not mentioned the manufacturer can implement IMS optionally for its production facility.
